Doha: The Assistant Foreign Minister and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Lolwah Al Khater expressed her hope that St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will be an opportunity to enhance cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Russian Federation.
Al Khater said in an interview with Russian news agency Sputnik that she participates in this year s St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in her capacity as Executive Director of the Doha Forum, an open platform for dialogue between world leaders, experts, academics, and journalists.
Her Excellency added that it was the first time that the Doha Forum goes to Russia, expressing hope that the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will be an opportunity to enhance ties during the Doha Forum s presence in the Russian Federation.

Doha: The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani said that Qatar was active diplomatically since the start of the latest events in Al Quds, especially when the provocations of settler groups began, followed by the evictions in Sheikh Jarrah, and then the provocations in Al Aqsa Mosque.
HE Sheikh Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani stressed that the State of Qatar has been a reliable mediator over the years, carrying out successful mediations. His Excellency also noted that the State of Qatar s ties with different parties, whether Hamas of Taliban, helped the region s security and stability.
Qatar will always remain supportive of Sudan, underlined His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani yesterday.
This came in a joint press conference HE the FM took part in alongside Sudan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mariam Al Sadiq Al Mahdi, in Khartoum.
HE Sheikh Mohammed affirmed that his visit to Sudan came within the framework of brotherhood and fraternal relations that link Qatar with Sudan.
The visit provided a good opportunity to review the historic Qatar-Sudan relations and explore ways to boost cooperation between the two countries, HE the FM pointed out.

Khartoum: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani sent a written message to HE President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of the Sudan Lt. Gen. Abdel Fattah Al Burhan, pertaining to bilateral relations and ways to support and develop them.
HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani handed over the message during his meeting with HE President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of the Sudan on Monday in Khartoum.
At the beginning of the meeting, HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed the greetings of HH the Amir to HE President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of the Sudan, and His Highness wishes of good health and happiness to him and continued progress and prosperity for the people of Sudan.
