Just a tough situation here in worst every tonight. This you all unfolding within the last couple hours. The firefighters they did their job. They were in the home within minutes of getting the call. They managed to pull two people out of the home but, unfortunately, we just learned within the last half an hour or so that both have died. The fire happening here at 474 burncoat street in the Greendale Dale neighborhood north of downtown. Firefighters got the call a little before 8 00 this evening. A deputy fire chief tells me it didnt look that bad from the outside but as soon as they get in he says the house was just filled with smoke and the fire was growing. Were told the victims are an elderly man and woman. Both were found unresponsive on the first floor of the two story home. The firefighters carried them out and began c. P. R.
