Ford is taking a bold step into its future by breaking ground for its BlueOval City battery plant in Tennessee.

To say that Ford has had lots of news lately is putting it mildly. From new uses for Bluetooth to the reveal of the 7th generation Mustang and its exhibition and comments at the recent Detroit Auto Show, the automaker hardly has had time to catch its breath. It continues next week with the reveal of the 2023 Super Duty lineup.

If you are into motoring and racing history, the chances are good that you have seen the 2019 move "Ford versus Ferrari," which detailed the duel between the corporate automotive giants to see who would take Le Mans at the time. It turns out that Ford would win in grand fashion in 1966 with a 1-2-3 win and later wins through 1969. Now, Ford will return to Le Mans in the automaker's seventh-gen Mustang.

Ford used the Detroit Auto Show, renewed for the first time in three years, to not only introduce the 2024 Mustang but also introduce a new model, the Mustang Dark Horse, and a slew of track-ready racing ponies.

Ford has recalled a number of F-150 Raptors to repair improperly installed lug nuts. The lug nuts are incorrectly fastene and may cause wheel separation leading to crashes.

With lots of flourish and fanfare, Ford has launched the seventh generation Mustang. The launch coincided with the end of The [Ford] Stampede and the beginning of the Detroit auto show that roared back to life after three years. Some watchers have saId this might be the last generation internal-combusion engined Mustang -- well only time will tell.

When Ford started selling the Bronco about a year ago, no one knew how popular it would become. Indeed, they have become popular as customers spend about double the amount other buyers spend on Ford's popular F-150 line.

Ford has decided to eliminate sales of Transit Connect compact vans next year. Planning now calls for the automaker to make up any lost sales with an expanded family of full-sized Transit vans.

As the big reveal gets closer and closer more information is coming out about the upcoming 2024 Mustang. For sure, it will likely have a V8 powerplant under the hood. Indeed, the V8 is likely the last gasoline engine that will power the Mustang line. Plans for a hybrid -- battery/gas engine -- Mustang have reportedly been shelved. The reveal is coming Sept. 14.

Ford has recalled Super Duty pickups for a problem with the panoramic camera used in its 360 system. At the same time, it has recalled more than 277,000 SUVs for the risk of fire.
