Craig Engelbrecht reached another milestone win in his coaching career, and it came on a familiar floor. Engelbrecht won his 600th career game as a head coach Tuesday, as the top-seeded School of the Osage Indians picked up a 71-41 victory against the Belle Tigers in the first round of the Eugene Tournament. Engelbrecht, who is in his third season coaching the Indians, was a longtime coach with the Eugene Eagles.

Halfway through Saturday’s Class 3 boys cross country state championship race, Southern Boone’s Connor Burns was running by himself. His nearest opponent was half a minute behind him. That margin doubled during the second half of the race.
