Blanton S. Tolbert, a biochemist at Case Western Reserve University, will serve as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) vice president and head of the Institute’s new Center for Science Leadership and Culture.

The researchers — whose findings were published Friday, Nov. 26, in the journal Science Advances — note that the discovery could lead to treatments for other future viruses.
