This sign on highway 17 reminded motorists they have to contend with something rare on the roads, rain. A lot of people i know are scrambling to get their windshield pipers fixed. There were two major accident on the way to work pretty bad so it seems like its catching a lot of people off guard. The first rain after a break. Rain toppled trees and even caused a minor mud slide. It also created lots of new puddles, brought new life to the Swimming Hole in Boulder Creek and helped the San Lorenzo River move more swiftly. With even more rain headed our way this week, todays showers were also a very wet reminder to prepare. Im making sure that i have extra batteries for the flashlights and extra fuel for my generator and just staying home as much as i can and trying to keep warm.
