Salt River First Nation's council can no longer have meetings to keep suspending its chief, a federal court judge has ruled, until the court holds a judicial review of the original suspension.

A recent ruling upheld Herons call for a judicial review into her suspension that a previous judge called procedurally unfair. She now wants a chance to lead the nation.

Residents of Fort Smith, N.W.T. cried, hugged, and laughed together as they gathered for a vigil Wednesday night to remember those lost in Tuesday’s plane crash and offer support to their grieving loved ones and to the crash’s sole survivor.
