Newly constructed wooden steps provide safer, direct access to Brambles Chine's West Wight beach

Visitors to Brambles Chine can now safely descend the steep cliff face without the need to take a time-consuming detour.

The council is currently assessing repair costs and hopes to have the steps operational again as soon as possible

Safety concerns have closed steps down to a popular Isle of Wight beach — making it only accessible by a pay-to-use chairlift.
