Brew City will reopen one week from Friday

Brew City Grill & Brew House on Shrewsbury Street in Worcester will reopen one week from Friday, on March 19, following a temporary closure which began in January, spurred by difficulties in running the restaurant under heightened coronavirus restrictions. “Thank you for all of your DMs, emails, and calls! We have been floored with the community feedback. As of now, we are pleased to announce that we are back, March 19th @ 4pm!” the company wrote on Facebook on Wednesday. “See you then!” Brew City management announced its temporary closure on Jan. 19. At the time, restaurants were limited to 25% of their indoor seating, not including staff.

Brew City, Meze Estiatorio temporarily close due to pandemic

Brew City ownership cited increased COVID-19 cases and restaurant capacity restrictions. The temporary closure began on Sunday, according to a Facebook post announcing the change. Management underscored the closure would be temporary, but did not say when the restaurant might reopen. “A very special THANK YOU to everyone, for your continued support through these challenging times. Once again, this is just a TEMPORARY hibernation, and we look forward to seeing all of you when we re-open,” the message read. Meze Estiatorio, in turn, announced its closure on Jan. 14.  Due to dining restrictions making it difficult for us to continue to operate as usual, we have made the decision to remain closed until March with an exact date TBD in the near future, the restaurant wrote in a Facebook post. Thank you for your continued support during these trying times!
