Public Works employees in Lewiston, Maine are being lauded for helping save a man’s life after spotting the man holding his own severed arm.

“It had to be divine intervention,” Lewiston Public Works director Mary Ann Brenchick said, according to the Sun Journal.

The two public workers, Cam Bernard and Bob Olsen applied a tourniquet, which likely saved the mans life, according to authorities.
