Sexual harassment is endemic to workplaces in the UK today. A 2020 government report noted that 29% of workers had experienced some form of sexual harassment in their workplace or work-related environment in the last 12 months. Of those, 57% had experienced unwanted, overtly sexual touching. This report concurred with earlier TUC surveys, which showed that those facing other forms of discrimination are more likely to face sexual harassment. Canada has embarked on the biggest immigration boom in its history. As 2022 ended, the federal government was on track to admit a record-breaking 431,000 new permanent residents. That will boost our population by 1.1 percent. The target will rise to 500,000 new permanent residents in 2025 or about 1.2 percent of the population.
