Rich color provides a beautiful sunrise over Carson City on Friday.

This week’s senior in the spotlight is Laura Bennett. Laura is an exceptional young woman; she is a strong student with clear ambitions. Laura’s academics really speak for themselves. She has always been a hard-worker, earning high marks in her increasingly difficult classes.

Carson City local and University of Nevada, Reno student Jake Sullivan Roman saved three people through organ donation in 2020. Donor Network West honored Jake and his family with the unveiling of his memorial “floragraph” portrait during a special event Thursday, Nov. 30.

Those who have been traveling along the downtown section of Carson Street since July 22 will have noticed the many young faces on the banners now gracing our light poles.

Travel to Brazil at the next Rotary Club of Carson City’s weekly meeting. SyJohnniqa Moore, a Rotary Youth Exchange student, recently returned from the South American country and will talk about her student exchange experience.
