Hello fellow anglers, I have to tell you that some boaters still have not taken a boaters safety course, by the actions I witnessed two weeks ago.

Carson City resident and fishing enthusiast Kevin Andrews sent us photos of his latest catch, a very large, largemouth bass he caught Wednesday on the Carson River which may either be a record-breaker for the river or pretty close.

Daylight Savings Time is about to begin, harkening the approach of Spring. Winter, though, continues its stubborn hold on the region, so bundle up this weekend in spite the extra hour of daylight. Theres a chance of snow showers throughout the weekend with daytime highs only into the low 40s.

Going into the final stretch of the work week Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019 will bring cool conditions, a slight chance of rain and some sunshine.
