EMMETSBURG — A 50-stroke loss to Emmetsburg, Thursday, wasn’t exactly how the Sioux Central boys golf team was hoping to begin its 2024 season. The E-Hawks took full advantage of its familiarity with Five Island Golf Course in a 159-209 win. “Our scores were not quite what I was hoping for,” Rebel coach Chris Wildeman said. “Emmetsburg has a really good team and I think that intimidated us a little bit. Hopefully as we get more rounds in our scores will come down.”
