A judge threw out a petition seeking to have a special grand jury investigate Norfolk Commonwealth's Attorney Ramin Fatehi as a public nuisance. The judge criticized the attempt as a publicity stunt and ordered Amina Matheny-Willard, the attorney who filed it, to pay a $500 fine.

Several community groups gathered Monday night to light Codi’s way home. Many of them searched wooded areas and neighborhoods to try and find him over the past year.

Tuesday marks a year since Codi Bigsby, of Hampton, was reported missing. It was Jan. 31, 2022, when Codi's father, Cory Bigsby, reported his disappearance.

13News Now spoke one-on-one with Hampton Police Chief Mark Talbot about the emotional case, one he says is still active.

A year later, police appear no closer to finding 4-year-old Codi Bigsby and are still struggling to narrow the scope of their search.

While crime was overall lower in 2022, the last quarter of the year saw a spike in crime. The chief said there have been 15 shootings this January.

As the one-year anniversary of 4-year-old Codi Bigsby's disappearance nears, the boy's father, Cory Bigsby, appeared in court Friday.

A Circuit Court judge on Friday ordered another mental health evaluation for Cory Jamar Bigsby Jr. on whether he's competent to stand trial on child neglect charges. His 4-year-old son, Codi Bigsby, was reported missing nearly a year ago.
