Motoring review: Volvo XC40 PHEV unplug and play Motoring review: The chunky and cute new Volvo was inspired by science fiction robots Reporter:   ); Volvo Cars brought a new safety standard to the small premium SUV segment with the launch of the new Volvo XC40 in 2018. Being the first car to be built on Volvo’s new Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) platform, the Volvo XC40 is one of the safest cars in its segment thanks to its inheritance of safety and support technologies from the brand’s S90/V90 and XC60 models. ‘Cognitive Load’ Reduction Modern city life presents complex challenges for drivers, pedestrians, cyclists and other road users. This is why the new Volvo XC40 was designed to reduce driver distraction and the so-called ‘cognitive load’ on the driver. With safety and driver assistance systems actively identifying and mitigating potential conflicts, the driving becomes more relaxed and enjoyable.

New Cars for 2021: EVs - Autocar India

New Cars for 2021: EVs Here s every new all-electric vehicle coming to India this year. Castrol 0 Comments After a tumultuous 2020, which saw the world grind to a brief halt because of the COVID-19 pandemic, carmakers are ready to come out all guns blazing in 2021. For a prospective car buyer, there will be no shortage of choice next year, with a barrage of new sedans, SUVs, hatchbacks, MPVs and performance cars in the pipeline, along with a battery of EVs (pun intended). Audi e-tron Set to be the first all-electric Audi in India, the e-tron has a 95kWh battery pack and two electric motors, which can produce a combined 408hp, giving it the ability to clock a 0-100kph time of 5.7sec.

Polestar 2 EV review: Solves the worst part of driving a Tesla

Later, someone standing on the sidewalk five blocks north shouted, Yo! What is that? I couldn t answer, on account that I was already driving. But I wanted to. I wanted to tell everyone what this thing was. 2021 Polestar 2. Polestar Never did I imagine a sedan would be quite a showstopper like this. But it is. Everywhere I went, people stopped to gawk or did double-takes.  The truth is the 2 is striking to look at. Low and wide, its horizontally opposed design is just accentuated all the more by the Thor s Hammer daytime running lights carried over from its Volvo siblings. But whereas the Volvos wear the company crest slashed across their noses, Polestar is far more subtle. The Polestar logo is just a slightly embossed, body-colored thing.

REVIEW: The $60,000 Polestar 2 luxury EV solves the worst part about driving a Tesla

REVIEW: The $60,000 Polestar 2 luxury EV solves the worst part about driving a Tesla klee@businessinsider.com (Kristen Lee) © Kristen Lee/Business Insider 2021 Polestar 2. Kristen Lee/Business Insider The Polestar 2 is the first all-electric car from Polestar, a new brand from Volvo and Geely. It competes against the Tesla Model 3, Jaguar I-Pace, and Audi e-Tron. Prices start at $59,900. The future-is-now characteristics are the same. The same big infotainment screen, the same minimalist interior, the same zip when the right pedal goes down. Take away my sight, and I d be tempted to guess I m at the wheel of the Tesla Model 3, about as good an electric car as can be driven. But I d know better because something feels different: Things here are more substantive, more satisfying.
