Just weeks after winning the prestigious Grand Prize in the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Awards, Carnegie-Knight News21 has launched a new reporting project examining the state of American democracy.

Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt was in Nevada last week for the annual meeting of the U.S. Conference of Mayors, where gun violence, immigration, and climate change were some of the main topics of discussion. After returning to Oklahoma, Holt talked with KGOU’s Dani Ingram about each of those issues.

Through our Practicum class and paid student positions, KGOU offers University of Oklahoma students the opportunity to learn and practice skills needed for successful careers in broadcast journalism and related fields.

Since it signed on in 1971, KGOU has provided opportunities for University of Oklahoma students to learn and practice skills in broadcast journalism.

As always, KGOU provides an opportunity for University of Oklahoma students to learn broadcast journalism. This year, new initiatives and the 2022 Oklahoma elections will make that experience even more meaningful.
