Cenalta Token, a winner in the first two California Sire Stakes legs for the four-year-old pacing mares at the Cal Expo meet, and Made Of Misschief, winner in the most recent leg, get another chance to settle the score in Friday night’s featured $20,000 USD California Sire Stakes.

A Major Omen, fresh from back-to-back victories at the head of the class, looks to extend that streak in the featured Open Pace on Sunday, Feb. 25.

The 2023 Minnesota Harness Racing divisional award winners have been announced ahead of the MHRI Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet. The celebration of the 2023 season will take place on Saturday, Feb. 17 at Running Aces Casino Hotel and Racetrack in Columbus.

The Friday, Sept. 15 harness racing program at Running Aces featured two Minnesota-sired Consolation events as well as two Open Handicap races, and the favourites were unable to deliver in any of the four featured races. 

The top-level pacing mares were in the spotlight at Running Aces on Thursday night (Aug. 31) in the $17,600 Open Handicap which drew a field of nine talented distaffers. 

Minnesota Harness Racing, Inc. (MHRI) has announced the divisional winners from the 2020 racing season. Due to the ongoing global pandemic, the MHRI Annual meeting and awards banquet (which is normally held in late February), was cancelled for this year. Pacing fillies and mares hold the spotlight at Cal Expo Saturday evening (Jan. 30), with Velocity Mcsweets heading the marquee. The main event goes as the fifth of 11 races presented by Watch and Wager LLC and first post is set for 5:35 p.m. (PST).
