An $8,000 USD Open Pace headed by A Major Omen and Heavens Gona Rock highlights the Friday night action at Cal Expo, which will host racing this week on Friday and Saturday evening.

Dropping from Open starts facing the top performers on the grounds at Cal Expo, pacer Heavens Gona Rock and trotter Body Armor will look to score in their co-featured conditioned classes on Friday night. 

Two $50,000 Sire Stakes Championship events for the four-year-old pacers and mandatory payouts get the marquee treatment on Sunday (April 30) for the closing night program at Cal Expo.

A pair of $20,000 Sire Stakes for the four-year-olds highlight the Sunday Cal Expo program, with Divine Art and Give Me This Dance renewing their rivalry among the distaffers while Worthy Opponent and JP Jetty are the major players in the male division.

Firenado, who has been taking on the razor-sharp Officer Jim; and Chase The Gold, fresh from a sparkling victory, head the $12,500 Don Fowler Memorial DHA Pace on Sunday (March 26) at Cal Expo.

Divine Art will look to win her 18th straight race when she heads the cast for Sunday night’s $20,000 California Sire Stakes for the four-year-old pacing mares at Cal Expo.
