Brock scores big to lead Lady Wildcats to title
Sophomore Zyron Brock scored a whopping 47 points to lead El Dorado to its second straight 5A State Girls Track & Field Championship. Scoring in six individual events, she was named Sports Alley/News-Times Spring Sports Female Athlete of the Year.

Lady Wildcats to aim for the sky at state meet
El Dorado’s girls finished second in last week’s 5A South Track & Field Championships at Hot Springs Lakeside. Conference champion Lake Hamilton will host the state meet on Thursday. The Lady Wildcats won the 5A state championship last season. If they are to repeat the feat, they will have to do it through the air, as in the jumping events.
