I want you to take a look at this gun, Montgomery County Police Tweeted out this picture within the hour, they say this gun was recovered from the suspects vehicles drivers seat. Police say the group that was involved here could be connected to other crimes. I want you to take a listen to this sound bite these suspects are thought to have been involved that at least two other events in Montgomery County. Wound september 1st, the robbery of a food truck in the wheaton area. And also later in september on the 22nd. The robbery of an establishment thats a gas station Convenience Store and a Check Cashing facility in the same area of veers mill and randolph as the september 1st location. They say that this is Surveillance Video from one of those incidents where it appears the same group theyre saying possibly the same group that struck here and ended up on the beltway today, they all could be connected. Area. Kron 4s Charles Clifford is live tonight in the newsroom with details. Charles. chuck well, the Santa Rosa Police department, the Sonoma County Sheriffs Office and the Coroners Office are calling this a disturbing trend and they want to warn the public. Over the past ten days, 5 people in santa rosa have died from apparent drug overdoses. 3 men and 2 women, ages 2766. The Sonoma County Sheriffs Office says that 3 of the victims died in public places. Sot toxicology tests on the victims showed they all had heroin in their systems but its highly unusual for so many people to die from overdoses in such a short period of time in the same area. Authorities suspect the victims may have gotten the heroin from the same source and that the drugs may have been tainted. Sotthe concern now is that more people may use heroin from that tainted batch and authorities are hoping to warn the public before its too late. Sot says at this point we dont know if something has been mixed into the drug.
