The EU agreed a £590k aid payment last week to help migrants at the Belarus border but of that £170k is going to the Red Cross which has a branch in Belarus run by the regimes health minister.

Salaries of healthcare workers are growing. This is partly due to bonuses for treating COVID-19 patients. Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized that even when the number of COVID-19 cases goes down, it is necessary to try to maintain the existing level of salaries.

"We have a completely different situation, a greater number of severe cases, their treatment is much more complicated, including in hospitals,” Dmitry Pinevich said.
