Nonresidential planning activity remains historically elevated despite decline, according to DCN. 

The DMI for October finds that warehouse planning projects are accelerating, supporting commercial momentum.

Improvements in warehouse planning helped support commercial growth, but despite strong progress in September, education and healthcare activity slowed down this month.

The Dodge Momentum Index (DMI), issued by Dodge Construction Network, declined 0.9% in July to 193.4 (2000=100) from the revised June reading of 195.1.

According to the July DMI, planning fell in July, but underlying trends point to a market split.

Lower planning activity in office and hotel sectors resulted in a dip in the commercial component, and the total reading, for the Dodge Momentum Index, say officials for the Dodge Construction Network.

The Dodge Momentum Index, issued by Dodge Construction Network, fell 5.1% in April to 180.9 (2000=100) from the revised March reading.

The Dodge Momentum Index (DMI) slipped 8.6% in March to 183.7 (2000=100) from the revised February reading of 201.0.

The Dodge Momentum Index (DMI), issued by Dodge Construction Network, advanced 1.9% in February to 203.0 (2000=100) from the revised January reading of 199.3.

Commercial and institutional planning show improvements over the month, according to the Dodge Construction Network.
