Dogs Seized News Today

Two people were arrested in Martin County after 14 dogs were found living in conditions described as "filthy" and "deplorable," according to deputies.

More than a half dozen dogs living in deplorable conditions and owned by a Fayette County couple charged with abusing their 6-year-old daughter have now been removed from the home the couple rented.

On January 25, Alicia Dawn Culberson, 36, the owner of the home, was arrested and charged with animal cruelty.

According to the SPCA, 'they were found living in a home filled with feces, urine and garbage in a community off the coast of Vancouver Island.'

They’re described as being a mix of American bulldog and Labrador retrieve, with each adult female having a litter of nine puppies.

The CNY SPCA reports that over 50 dogs were seized from a "hoarding house" in Westmoreland.

According to the SPCA, the dogs are urine-soaked and some are so matted they can barely walk or see. Some of the dogs may also be pregnant.

The dachshunds range in age from four months to five years, with the SPCA noting they aren’t currently available for adoption.

Neighbours claimed that they saw a young girl covered in blood and her mum shouting for help.
