The Del Mar Union School District will be adding a transitional kindergarten early intervention program in the fall.

After two months of outreach on a proposed reconfiguration of Del Mar Union School District schools, Superintendent Holly McClurg recommended that the board not pursue the option to close Del Mar Hills Academy and build a new Del Mar West campus.

The Del Mar Hills Academy is coming in about $3 to $6 million over budget as the Del Mar Union School Board continues to weigh its construction options.
