Wicklow RNLI responded to more than 30 incidents during 2023 as both the all-weather and inshore lifeboats launched to come to the aid of those in difficulty at sea.

Wicklow RNLI’s all-weather lifeboat assisted fishing vessels during two separate callouts on Friday 2 December

Wicklow RNLI brought two fishermen to safety on Friday afternoon after their vessel developed engine trouble six miles east of Greystones Harbour. An alert from the Coast Guard at 12.15 p.m. tasked the all-weather lifeboat under the command of Coxswain Tommy McAulay to proceed north to assist the fishermen.
