"Dooky" Chase III was the "beloved patriarch" of The Chase Family, an educator and community leader that served on various local, state and regional boards.

"My father's legacy will be the words that he often preached to us. The words of service, love, and liberty for all," Edgar Chase IV said.

Martha Chase Moss, 92, passed away on January 31, 2024, at The Glen in Shreveport. She was born February 7, 1931, at her family home near Waterproof, to Jesse Ben Chase and Audrey Slocumb Chase.
