Two people were arrested Tuesday for felony counterfeiting and other charges after sheriffs deputies and the U.S. Secret Service executed a search warrant at an Edmonds Drive residence, a Carson City sheriffs captain said.

Water main flushing began Monday and will continue through April 30, 2024. The Carson City Water Division will be starting up and testing wells in anticipation of increased water demand.

Due to a project to complete a new north-south water transmission line on the east side of Carson City, there will be utility work in the roundabout at Fairview Drive and E. Fifth Street from January 24th through January 26th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. There will be flagger controls and minor delays are expected.

A 36-year-old Mound House man was arrested in the area of Gordon and Edmonds on a $20,000 felony warrant, possession of fentanyl, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a stop sign violation.
