(Moorhead, MN) -- A dispute between Republican Party factions is being played out in court. The Minnesota GOP has filed a lawsuit in Clay County charging Edwin Hahn with fraudulent misrepresentation. Hahn was removed as Clay County GOP chair last year by the executive committee, but has refused to step down. Hahn has convened an alternate group, who declared him the chair.

The state GOP is suing what it calls a rogue party official.

Dan Bohmer will be the GOP candidate for state Senate District 4 in the 2022 general election after defeating Edwin Hahn in the party primary on Aug. 9. Bohmer will face DFL candidate Rob Kupec, who was unopposed in the primary, in the Nov. 8 general election.
