But the Wine Industry really significantly began in the 1850s, when a man bought property in the Sonoma Valley and started a winery that he called one of this debt winery buena vista winery. That is the birthplace of what we now know as California Wine culture. He didnt plant the first grapes. Somebody was already growing grapes when he came. He got interested in european varietals, in 1863, the state established a Wine Commission because people were getting interested in that. They sent him to europe, and he brought back varietal cuttings of european grapes. Dr. Paul gausman, superintendent of Sioux City Community Schools School officia notified parents of the incident. Through an automated phone call. Around 6 pm monday evening. Some parents were upset they werent made aware of the situation earlier. However, we spoke with one parent who said she agreed with the schools decision to continue the school day. People do things anywhere you go, malls, theaters, people can do things so its no different than at a school, said allision sexton.
