The BMC will have 227 wards as before. The coming elections to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will be held as per the old ward structure of 2017, the government said.

The GMC election will be conducted on 19 April in 789 polling stations and a total of 7,96,829 voters will cast their votes. The last date for filing nominations is Wednesday 30 March.

Citizens can register by logging in to the web portal and will be able to lodge their complaints and other issues, including violations of election rules.

Meanwhile, the citizens can raise objections on the draft list and the last date for raising the objections is January 19.
