The proposed $1 to $10 million bond referendum would provide funding to renovate or replace the Holiday House pool.

The Holiday House pool, Select Properties development plans, upcoming township events and more were discussed Wednesday evening at the West Rockhill Board of Supervisors meeting.

The proposal follows considerable community concerns about the future of the pool due to extensive outstanding capital improvements and a lack of support from West Rockhill Township. 

In a special meeting of the West Rockhill-Sellersville Joint Recreation Authority, members revealed that the Holiday House pool may be unable to open for the 2024 swim season, citing a lack of support from the West Rockhill Board of Supervisors.

“If you’re not committed to supporting Holiday House pool, then just be honest about it and let’s start figuring out how we dissolve the Authority so that the pool can move on without you," said Don Crouthamel, chairman of the West Rockhill-Sellersville Joint Recreation Authority.

The balanced budget includes $550,000 for road repair funding, $13,000 for the Holiday House pool and $2,500 for the Pennridge Senior Center.

The balanced budget, containing no tax increases, projects a total revenue and expenditures of $3.01 million, with additional funding for road repairs and a new backhoe.
