This year, Theatre of Gadsden is staging more than 50 cast members (plus a children’s chorus) for Looking for a City

In “Godspell,” a small group of people help tell different parables of Jesus Christ (loosely based on the Gospel of Matthew in the Bible).

The Spotlight Players, a vocal music group based in Gadsden, to perform two Christmas concerts in Alabama City to celebrate 40 years of making music.

Shows open Oct. 28 for the Theatre of Gadsdens White Plains, Blue Mountain, written by local reporters inspired, in part, by Viola Hyatt case.

Big River showtimes are 7 p.m. July 15-16 and 22-23, and 2 p.m. July 23-24. All shows are at the historic Ritz Theatre, 310 Wall St.

After six delays -- five caused by COVID-19 case spikes -- Theatre of Gadsdens Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash opens March 4.

Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Dec. 3 and 4 and 2:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Ritz Theatre.
