Theater-goers in Fort Payne have a hair appointment – at a notoriously rollicking salon.

This year, Theatre of Gadsden is staging more than 50 cast members (plus a children’s chorus) for Looking for a City

In “Godspell,” a small group of people help tell different parables of Jesus Christ (loosely based on the Gospel of Matthew in the Bible).

The awards show included performances from Theatre of Gadsdens 2022 musicals.

Theatre of Gadsden performers, artists, and shows won several awards, in competition with other shows and theater groups across the state.

Shows open Oct. 28 for the Theatre of Gadsdens White Plains, Blue Mountain, written by local reporters inspired, in part, by Viola Hyatt case.

Big River showtimes are 7 p.m. July 15-16 and 22-23, and 2 p.m. July 23-24. All shows are at the historic Ritz Theatre, 310 Wall St.

Theatre of Gadsden has enjoyed sellout performances of its production of “The Sound of Music,” and theres two more chances to see the show.
