The maiden sea sortie of the IAC Vikrant was successfully undertaken on August 2021. It is 262 meter long, 62 meter wide and 59 meter tall.

The President appreciated the efforts of Indian Navy and Cochin Shipyard towards development of indigenous capabilities in shipbuilding.

Admiral Karambir Singh was speaking to media persons on board the IAC Vikrant which is currently engaged in the second sea trial since October 24.

The Indigenous Aircraft Carrier (IAC) Vikrant had sailed out for the second sea trials on October 24. The maiden sea sortie of the ship was successfully undertaken on August 21 this year.
