China's imports of high-carbon ferrochrome were 158,400 mt in May 2022, a month-on-month decrease of 41,500 mt or 22% and a year-on-year decrease of 91,900 mt or 37%.

SHANGHAI, Jun 23 (SMM) - In May 2022, China's copper wire and cable were exported to 174 countries and regions.

In May 2022, stainless steel imports totalled 229,800 mt, down 9,176 mt or 3.84% month-on-month and 24.05% year-on-year.

Imports of primary aluminium in May 2022 rose 6.96% MoM and slumped 61% YoY. Domestic primary aluminium imports from January to May 2022 totalled 168,700 mt, down 71% YoY.

However, so far, the combined imports of nickel ore in 2022 were only around 10.84 million mt, down 6.9% year-on-year.

According to the General Administration of Customs, China's imports of nickel ore and concentrates in May were 3.84 million mt, an increase of 54.73% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 4.59%.

According to the General Administration of Customs, China exported 951,000 mt of coke in May, up 49.1% MoM and 145.7% YoY. The combined exports in the first five months totalled 3.2 million mt.

SHANGHAI, Jun 21 (SMM) - According to the data released by the General Administration of Customs, in May 2022, China’s primary aluminium import was 37,300 mt, a month-on-month increase of 7.1% and a year-on-year decrease of 61%, while exports were 65,100 mt, a month-on-month increase of 103.1% and a year-on-year increase of 7046.8%.

SHANGHAI, Jun 21 (SMM) - SMM data showed that a total of 76 ships arrived at major ports in China from June 13 to June 19, carrying 11.45 million mt of iron ore, up 1.24 million mt on a weekly basis, but down 1.7 million mt from a year ago.
