Monkeypox news: World Health Organisation (WHO) has announced new names to avoid causing any cultural or social offence.

Delhi monkeypox: She was admitted to LNJP Hospital two days ago and her reports came out on Friday night, confirming that she was positive.

Monkeypox outbreak: Ex-FDA chief Gottlieb believes that more cases would be found if testing was expanded beyond just that community. His comments come days after the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) declared a public health emergency over the virus last week.

The meeting is currently underway. The development comes on the back of rising monkeypox cases in the country. India has reported nine cases of the disease including one death so far.  

The woman has fever and skin lesions and is admitted to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital, sources said, adding her samples were sent for testing and the results came positive on Wednesday.

"A national task force on monkeypox disease has been constituted to monitor the development of diagnostics and vaccines for the management of monkeypox disease," Mandaviya told the Rajya Sabha.

Kerala: The young man was moved on to a ventilator on July 28. Since he had passed away with symptoms like fever, the state government had launched an investigation into the matter.

Kerala Health Minister Veena George said that India's first monkeypox patient has completely recovered from the infection.

Monkeypox virus news: As it was the first case of monkeypox in the country, tests were conducted twice at an interval of 72 hours as per the instructions of the National Institute of Virology (NIV).
