The New Wage Code directs a company to pay the due salary and full and final settlement of wages within two days of the last working day of the employee. 

If implemented, these labour codes could pave the way for a change in working hours, PF contributions and in-hand salary for employees.

The new wage code is all set to be implemented from July 1, 2022. 

New labour laws will have implications on wages, pension, gratuity, labour welfare, health, safety and working conditions, including that of women.
