Marijuana has been legal in Ohio since December after Ohioans passed Issue 2 in November — prompting lawmakers in both chambers to come up with legislation to tweak the current law.
Council, at its Jan. 22 meeting, tabled legislation to ban businesses that cultivate, process or dispense adult-use marijuana. The panel also referred that same ordinance to the village Planning and Zoning Commission for further review.
