The Biden administration is pressing forward with a regime of repression against what is expected to be a surge in migrants arriving at the US southern border as the Title 42 public health expulsions are lifted.

Title 8 processing of migrants crossing into the U.S. between ports of entry is already the new normal on the Southwest border, the national leader of the U.S. Border Patrol says.

"You can come into the country at the port of entry and ask for asylum. Title 42 effectively stopped that, but Title 8 is law of the land," immigration attorney Gabriel Seanez said.

A federal agency says it will continue to repatriate ineligible migrants after Title 42 ends on May 11.
