Jared Knox was finishing up his senior year as a mechanical engineering major at Auburn University when he received the text message that, ultimately, changed his life’s path.

Jared Knox, who graduated from Auburn University in 2021, started his own art studio in Atlanta shortly after graduating.

A graduate of Auburn University recently took home the top prize at the new Alabama Wildlife Fine Arts Competition, a part of the annual Wetumpka Wildlife Arts Festival (WEWA). Jared Knox, the winner of the 'Best in Show' category, graduated from Auburn in 2021 with a degree in mechanical engineering and had only pursued art as a hobby during the vast majority of his time on the Plains.

Artist Jared Knox, a Marietta native, fondly recalls his first trip to Alabama’s Black Belt during a family hunting trip to Lowndes County when he was a teenager.

DETERMINED firefighters are swapping sponges and soapy water for pounding the streets to raise money for charity. Six members of Dunbar’s fire and rescue service crew will complete a total of 900 kilometres throughout April.
