The El Dorado Water Utilities is nearing the completion of a months-long project to convert the citys cellular-based meter-reading system back to automated readers and some customers should soon start to see their water bills return to normal.

Crews from the El Dorado Water Utilities and the Arkansas Department of Transportation spent the day Wednesday working to repair a hole that opened up in the street in the area of North West Avenue and Oak Street.

In the coming weeks, local residents will have the opportunity to submit and share ideas about improvements and amenities they would like to see in city parks -- particularly, a water feature/aquatic recreation facility to replace the Mattocks Park swimming pool.
