Then, over the next five years, Ken trained her to earnings of almost $700,000. Fast forward to 2020, and after a very solid career as a broodmare, Sucee and the Legge brothers named her final foal -- a Bettors Delight filly -- One Last Wish.

Sophomore pacing fillies took the track at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Thursday (Sept. 28) evening in two Ontario Sires Stakes Gold divisions, each the fifth leg of the series and worth a $101,300 prize. Momentary Control and One Last Wish took their respective splits, each posting a 1:51.1 achievement in their miles.

A hefty field of eleven sophomore pacing fillies went to the gate in the $199,900 Ontario Sires Stakes Gold Leg 2 at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Tuesday (July 18) evening and One Last Wish dominated the class.

With the finalists for the Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots determined, a pair of $20,000 events for those who missed the final competed on the Thursday (Sept. 29) card at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

Marcel Barrieau pupil Grandeur Seelster paid the highest win mutuel and travelled the fastest mile of the four Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots divisions for two-year-old pacing fillies at Grand River Raceway on Wednesday night (Sept. 14).

Three-year-old trotting fillies started their Ontario Sires Stakes Gold season on Monday, June 6 at Woodbine Mohawk Park, and just like their pacing contemporaries it was upset win over a heavy favourite.
