Teton County Idaho is embarking on a renewed effort to take action on protecting historical landmarks and buildings throughout the county through its somewhat new Historic Preservation Commission.

The council took swift action during what was supposed to be only a public hearing, voting unanimously to approve the measure.

Stephen Pace always intended to restore the historic Beer Estate carriage house when he acquired it in the 1970s. It took the right people, a new ordinance and a lot of time to get it done.
