It was an incredible few days for hoteliers in London with the celebrations around the inaugural World s 50 Best Hotels. Held in the grand historic Guildhall with over 800 people in attendance, the mood was high with everyone in black-tie sipping champagne and honorees adorned in red scarves and women in red dresses.

Swire Hotels has announced a trio of promotions in its senior management team across The House Collective and East brands.
First up is Giovanni Beretta, who will be relocating with his family to Hong Kong as the new group director of operations. In his new role, Beretta will oversee all of the brand’s hotels and restaurants in Hong Kong, mainland China and Miami.

With over 25 years of hospitality experience, Beretta first joined the brand as the general manager of East Miami and vice president of Swire Hotels in the US in 2015.
HONG KONG, 11 May 201: Swire Hotels announced last week the promotion of key members of the hotel management team across the House Collective and EAST brands.
Kristina Snaith-Lense assumes the role of general manager of the Upper House and Pacific Place Apartments. Prior to this appointment, she was hotel manager at The Upper House in Hong Kong since 2019.
Olivier Dumonceaux has been promoted to general manager of the Opposite House after serving as the property’s hotel manager since 2018.
Giovanni Beretta relocates with his family to Hong Kong to assume the new role of group director of operations. Beretta joined Swire Hotels as the general manager of the branded hotel EAST Miami in 2015 and served as vice president of Swire Hotels in the US. As the group director of operations, he will oversee all hotels and restaurants in Hong Kong, China mainland and Miami.
Olivier started his hospitality journey at a young age, and after graduating from Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon, France with a major in hospitality management, he joined The Ritz Carlton Hotel Company LCC where he honed his leadership skills in their restaurants & bars. Olivier then went on to serve at EMAAR Hospitality Group LCC, leading the team in the opening of The Address Dubai Mall and six other restaurant outlets within the group. After that, Olivier moved to Seychelles to be the Food & Beverage Division Manager of Raffles in Praslin Island, and after three years, continued his journey to Mainland China where he became the Director of Food & Beverage at Raffles Beijing Hotel.
