BSNL has lost 18 million subscribers alone in the fiscal year 2024. The latest industry data collated by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) shows that the telecom PSU lost nearly 2.3 million subscribers, limiting its user base to just 88.06 million in March 2024. By contrast, both Jio and Airtel gained. Third-ranked Vi is the only telco after BSNL that is struggling to arrest subscriber churn.
Under the two-phase strategy, the first phase will focus developing solutions to revive BSNL and achieve targets in verticals such as consumer fixed access, consumer mobility, and enterprise business.
