Another new year brings with it new projects and plans in the U.S. 280 corridor, the city of Chelsea and Shelby County. Here are a few things to expect in 2024.

a 3-year-old girl drowning in the deep end of the pool, but they're vacationing at the same time a state trooper, along with a firefighter who jumped into action. here's abc's gio benitez. >> reporter: tonight, a miraculous rescue in a florida pool. >> emergency drowning. la quinta inn. >> reporter: a drowning little girl, just 3 years old, saved, because two first responders happened to be vacationing there from new york. >> i heard the parent's mother screaming. jumped up, jumped in the pool, pulled her out. we both started cpr. >> reporter: police say the girl's mom was gathering family to leave the pool when she lost sight of the little girl. >> it was good, knowing that at least we're helping her, anyways, and she's going to be able to make it. >> reporter: just this spring in myrtle beach, another incident. a boy's foot got stuck in a suction line and was trapped underwater for several minutes before rescuers could pull him out. he survived. to see if everyday people would notice a silent and fast drowning, we recently put a group of parents to the test. you see them distracted in the
