Madelyn Orochena officially joined the Kennesaw City Council on Tuesday for her first term in office, replacing Lynette Burnette after defeating her and two other candidates in November.

KENNESAW — Madelyn Orochena was born and raised in Kennesaw, so Wildman’s Civil War Surplus, the Confederate-themed store in the city’s downtown, is nothing new to her.

With a 4-1 vote, the Cobb County Board of Elections voted to certify this year’s municipal elections.
