My recommendation is "Forged In Crisis" by Nancy Koehn. Koehn, a historian at Harvard Business School, profiles five famous leaders: Ernest Shackleton, Abraham Lincoln, Frederick Douglass, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and Rachel Carson.
