Man Pad News Today

Well, the unanimous call of 212 House Democrats has been answered by our nominee for speaker, the gentleman from brooklyn, the leader of our House Democratic caucus, the honorable Hakeem Jeffries. [cheers and applause] leader jeffries has answered our call but the majoritys nominee is disconnected, disconnected from the American People and their values. Maga extremism is designed to divide and it has broken the republican party. Their nominees vision is a direct attack on the freedom and the rig...

Tanks and heavy personnel carriers, and theyre apparently blowing the turrets off the best battle tanks that the russians have. the t-80. the other weapon is the stinger missile, which we call a man pad or man portable air defense system. as you saw on that helicopter clip right there, low altitude shot, blew the engine right off the helicopter and crashed it into the ground. that helicopter was actually out to recover and other aircraft that had been shot down a few hours earlier. so, they had ...

17,000 anti-tank missiles, the vast majority of them coming in since the start of the invasion, 2,000 stingers and in addition to that there were other versions of the man pad as it is known coming from other nato allies. thats a remarkable pace, but it is driven by the urgency that the u.s. and its partners fears they wont be able to get them in, in those numbers, forever. because russia, as it makes advances, particularly in the south, is going to, according to the u.s. intel assessment, start...

Maybe perhaps kyiv, something where you could stay a distance from the russian borders and those ground attack radars, still an escalation, not likely to happen now, but ways to shave it back. >> looks like its not going to happen, and we have hit analysts, if you really want to have a no-fly zone you have to take out all the ground-based surface to air missile systems and that means attacking the russians anyway, they dont want to do. a couple of other things zelenskyy asked for, the mig-29, po...

Not a good. it has nothing to do with putins threats to use nuclear, its because this entire country is today a free fire zone for anybody carrying a man pad, anybody carrying sting or missile. any of those missiles can bring down helicopters for sure, but cant bring down a velocity weapon. this is a target-rich environment for all those weapons that we have shipped and god bless the british for shipping as many as they have. its also very important because if you have allied jets flying around....

Conventional war can happen again. tanks which we thought were the future may be more vulnerable than ever with one simple man pad. and a shoulder fired missile. adapt to that and recognize you have to spend on defense to deter your enemies like we didnt do in ukraine. >> brian: right, got to be ready for the south china sea. be ready for a european war. and middle east war. >> pete: we dont have enough ships cant do anything about it. >> brian: got to be vigilant war on terror islamic extremism...

And other threats to the aircraft? >> we have not been able to run that information down as far as locations of other attacks in kabul. i cant confirm there have been other attacks in kabul away from h kaya today. i will tell you this. the safety of our aircraft coming in and out is of paramount importance. you have the opportunity for 450 or more people to die. we dont believe they have a man pad capable of doing it. they have taken shots at our aircraft on occasion without effect. we think tha...

Left to the august 31st deadline and fine it goes beyond that and as general mckenzie said he has the forces he need. hell readjust based on the number and hell do different things but what i would point out is general mckenzie also talked about the threats in the remaining days. he looks to continue with the kneel operation and also look to get final aircraft out of there. you know, the big bullets, the man pad, the shoulder-fired anti-air weapons, those are relatively easy things to take care ...

0 >> officials believe isis-k was behind the attacks, but theyre still working to confirm that. the state department had been warning for days of a terror attack at the airport. we have reporters standing by. lets start with barbara starr at the pentagon. what do we know about these military members who were killed and what were expected to hear from the pentagon? >> in just a very short while we are expecting to hear from general frank mckenzie, the head of the u.s. central command which overse...

Do more to beef up security or do you think that right now theyre doing whats needed to be done? how do you feel about it? >> well, i guess i would say there can never be enough security at that airport. its such a chaotic situation and when you mass that number of people. people can get hurt just being in a crowd that size but makes a very attractive target for our enemies, for isis for example like nothing better than to attack, set off a suicide bomb in that crowd or take out one of those air...
